I want to create either a group page, or a fan page. However, I want to be able to message the members of my page, or group. I know that you can do this with groups, but can you do this with fan pages? What is actually best, group, or fan page to interact with members? Thanks in advance....
if you plan to have LOADS of "fans" then opt in for a page - group is easier to market though since you can send invites.
Heres the differences: Group - You can message all of your members - The message is seperated in the inbox from typical messages friends send so could easily be ignored. Updates do NOT show up in the news feed. Page - Status updates DO show up in the news feed but you can't send a message to your users. A page is far more flexible IMO
It depends what do you intend to do with the page or group. If your group goes past 5000 it's basically useless. I have a group with 20 000 members and growing but I can't do anything with it. Groups status post don't get viewed as much as fan page in my opinion because it isn't displayed. So now I'm actually trying to delete 15000 members but as I delete I get more and more lol.
Fanpage is more useful to communicate with your members. You can reply quickly on their comments or suggestions.
i havent experimented with groups yet. I've always thought that setting up fan pages was the way to go.
i think both fine..for invites,i agree with groups, but for promote your product,i stick with fanpages..with fanpages you can get many peoples who interested become your fan than groups..
Fanpages! In groups you can't send inbox messages once your group has over 5000 members. With fanpages you can message all fans/likes.
for fan page, the access is possible for even non-facebook users for groups its not possible for fan page url customization is possible. for groups url customization is not possible for fan pages we won't be able to send bulk mails for groups we can send bulk mails for fan page extra applications can be added for groups we won't be able to ad extra applications for fan page visitor statistics are available, but for groups its not possible.
