What's better, a 3 word .com or a 2 word .net

I'm trying to get some opinions on what others think when registering a domain name.

My options are either a 3 word .com name or a 2 word .net name.

I'm torn because the .com name is more appealing since it's a .com, but it has one more word and 6 more letters than the .net. The .net name is more direct in regards to the site and (obviously) has one less word and 6 less letters, but it's not a .com name.

I'm curious as to what you all think would be a better choice.

I'm more interested in what would be better for reselling the site after it's been developed, but I'm also interested in what would be a better choice for natural traffic, search traffic, and SEO (or anything else you can think of).

If your going to be reselling it then maybe the .net could be a better choice as three words is going a little overboard these days.

Thanks for the insight. I was kind of thinking the same thing.
