Hi looking for a site that will auto send my URL to SE's. Dont want to pay or have to have a link to them on my site. Any ideas?
Try WebCEO. It's free and will do a few auto submissions to search engines. WebCEO also has a list of sites which require manual submission. However, WebCEO helps you in the process by automatically filling in common details such as your URL, Title, Description and Keywords. A program called DirectorySubmitter is also helpful for speeding up the manual submission process. Hope that helps! Daniel
Theres no such thing as submissions to SE You get backlinks and thrue those backlinks you get indexed ....
actually there is something called sobmission to SE. every single SE has its own submission process. google for example is http://www.google.com/addurl/ however, i agree with you regarding getting backlinks. i myself do not see any reason for wasting time submitting to search engines. some social bookmarking is good enough for SEs to find your page and index them
Don't submit your site to SE just wait for them to find your site. SE will find your site if you build links.
Strange advice Hersheys. any reason for this? Also if your avitar an actualy picture of you? if so, your hot!
If you submit your site to SE sometimes there's having a conflict. SE tend to crawl your site twice and it confused the SE that's why some sites experience on and off in the SE.
Hersheys I don't think that is entirely true. If so it would be easy for a company to apply some dirty SEO tactics and remove their competition from the Search Engines simply by submitting their site. I think that search engines these days would be a bit more clever about this issue and i'm sure big players like Google would not allow for such dirty tactics to work.
I would definitely never auto submit or auto anything thing on a web site I owned. As mentioned earlier, let the SE's find you. If you have no search engine listings & no links going to your web site and you just can't wait a second longer... Manually submit to Google & only do it once. Once your picked up on Google leave it at that. Then as time goes on, Google will drop back by checking for updates & new pages. It could take a few weeks up to a year if your site gets thrown in the Google Sandbox. Make sure your website is optimized, search engine friendly, user friendly & remember content is king! Really concentrate on your keywords - keyword phrases, page title, description then implement it into your content. I had a friends commercial web site that I manually submitted to Google & MSN, it was picked up in a few weeks. Then low & behold it was listed on Yahoo within a few months. It has no PR ranking & it's #1 on Yahoo & MSN, within top 5 of Google and a few other sites. What else can you ask for if you have 1st page listings on Google & Yahoo? That's where the majority of your SE traffic comes from anyway. Good Luck & Have a Nice Day! DJ5A
