    Firing up <Insert BH Tool> and acquiring a quarter of a million backlinks to a URL overnight "is" Black Hat. Sure they are not pointing to your domain, but that's just smart Black Hat.

    *Note* I don't do this, i just deal with it on a daily basis in a lot of the verticals i optimize in.

    Best black hat method? Just link spam everywhere (trackbacks, guestbook, comment, forum spam etc..). Most good blackhat seo's write their own scripts to make everything like this automated.
