    Meta Tag is one of most important on-page factor as crawlers looks for it. In Title tag you can use your most of the important keywords and it helps very much to get higher rank in SERPs.

    Meta tag is very important for search engine. Google will read meta description and not meta keywords. But yahoo and other search engines will read both meta keywords and meta description.

    Meta tags matter, but not a whole lot. Use them honestly. Put a descriptive description in your description tag and relevant keywords in your keywords tag. Meta tags were designed to provide additional info about a page. Amongst other things, they tell the search engine what your page is about, helping it to index your page more accurately.

    Well, the title meta tag is the most important..it let's you put your keywords in a high priority spot, that DOESN'T appear on your actual page. thus they help you get better rankings for your chosen keyphrases. Hope that helps!
