whats an ebook?

    Hi guys, I know this might sound like a stupid question to you but I'm still not sure. Is it a link to a site?

    If so then what would happen if I bought an ebook and the people gave me the wrong link?

    More specifically an "Electronic Book" is just a book in electronic form, not unlike "email", which is electronic mail. It's just another medium (in this case electronic) for delivering content to the end user.

    ohh i see thanks, so say if i were to make an ebook on making banners, i could write out the tutorial in word?

    would that be an ebook?

    Sort of.. What you could do is take that "tutorial" from Word and import it into an "eBook" software program. Typically eBooks have some PDF like type of delivery system with which the viewer can easily page through chapters/pages, etc...

    Once you learn what they are...a good place to go to get something to create them is openoffice.org. It's a free office suite and the wordprocessor will convert documents into PDF, which is a common way to distribute ebooks.

    Ebook is basically an electronic book.Suppose you have a word file with 10 pages,you can send this matter in an attachment form to any of your friend etc. by email.Now if you try to sell the same matter,the buyer can buy the matter from you and later on edit the matter and sell the same matter as an attachment file to anyone.

    If you dont want this to happen,you can convert the same document file into an ebook by using a complier software.You can then sell your own ten pages of ebook to any one and it wont be easy to copy your matter.Infact an ordinary person will not be able to sell your ebook as his or her's.
