We can't really predict that what would be the next one.
It can be anything like "Digiter", etc.

Exactly. I'm placing my bets on google wave. Although it seems a lot different than most social networking sites, in that its not its own separate site but an app made by google teams. However, wave seems to be one of the most powerful tools coming out to automate and expand the social networking arena. Insane chat features, live blogging, etc. The world changes more each day...

Google Wave will certainly not gain any type of popularity for the average computer user, which is someone who is from 10-20 years old. I'm sure Wave will be just like Orkut, nothing more or less. It will gain popularity in a country like Brazil, that's it. I'm positive Facebook will lose its popularity for most people, and within the next five years you should see a new social network start exploding with popularity. The Internet is like a cycle.

    Yugo,
    :)
