    Googlebot is the search bot software used by Google, which collects documents from the web to build a searchable index for the Google search engine. When you search for sites that display your IP, you will often see the googlebot's IP address.

    the pro's is that if it access your site, it gets indexed in google (and who doesn't require this ? ;) ) , and the cons speaks itself :D

    It means that google is crawling your site for inclusion into their search rankings. It is a good thing :)

    also check the domain name of the IP, if its not belongs to google, it is a fake. Lots of fake google bot these days.
