I saw a topic "What's a good bounce rate?" so I got a bit curious, what's a good "average time on site" for you visitors? Right now it's about 4min for me, but it's enough time to get a good look at 4-6 pages.
It depends on the design of your site. If your site is a Blog, dont expect too much time on it. If it is site, expect much more.
4 minutes is very good. I've seen more than 3 minutes only on an ebook-style sales letter site I have. For most sites more than 2 minutes is good.
Hi there new to SEO and was wondering what bounce rate was and found it in this post. Thanks! So 2-4 minutes is the best I see.
On a fairly new forum that i have (not webmaster related) between 4-8mins, not fantastic but its very new, as time goes by id like to keep them there for hours, not against their will of course.
I think 10 minutes is really good, that means they are at least reading the page and navigating once.
Yeah 4 minutes is a great time because you gotta factor in all the people who bounce or only look at what they were looking for.
I think that Google likes to compare the time spent on your site now, to how long people spent on your site in the past. So if you have 4 minutes now, you may find you need to do a lot of w0rk in a few months time to keep the average time up. But a nice average to have and I am sure it is far better than most peoples.
On my extremely tiny niche site the average time is 00:10:12... The average person looks at about 10 pages.
with me web site and with the help of google analystic is about 3:00 min per users. i dont know if that a good or bad thing yet
4 minutes sounds great. I get about 3:30 on my site, but that drops dramatically when you remove the time I spend on it.
Yep, 4 minute is even high. Most of the sites don't get even 2 minutes average visit, or not much than 2-3 clicks. You should be satisfied with the result, but don't forget to keep up the work and continue putting the same efforts you did, or even more so you can rank better.
It's good to have 4 minutes average visit for your site, This will all depends on content and design of your website.
