Whats a good avg fig for site hits ?

Just want to ask, whats the current best avg figure for website/blog hit ???

I know the more the better buy whats the avg hit we should aim for as beginners.

How many uniques daily?

1000 uniques per day is a decent target for a beginner, 10000 if you have more experience.

 

I made http://diggboards.com 2 days ago and will get about 1,000 unique today... mostly links from my other sites though

 

Aim for 100 , then 1000 and then 10,000. It all takes time

 

If you Google Analytics, you can see benchmarking feature which represent the average pageviews, bounce rate, daily visit for site like yours.

 

If you get around 1000 daily you would be in good form.

 

I would also say 1000 a day is a good figure to start with.

 

Aim high. Once i hit 1K a day, I never looked back. Unfortunately, my projects are consuming most of my free time.

 

1000 per day. That's also the benchmark in which you can start monetization. Anything before that will just ruin your readership

I'd have to tell you to consider how wide of a niche you are aiming at too.
The narrower your focus, wild widgets compared to wild widgets made for lefties with green eyes, the lower your UVs will be, but your return visitors, if your content is at least good, should be higher.

 

It really depends on the type of traffic you're getting. 500 targeted visitors per day will always convert better than 10,000 untargeted visitors.

 

Its really subjective question.
For me i'm happy enough if i get 300/day
