Do you go by any kind of formula when buying links or advertising on other sites.

I've been trying to advertise my site with many other sites but need some help on what are good deals and what are rip offs.

    1) How much would you pay per month on a site that gets 1000 unique visitors/day?

    2) How much would you pay per month on a site that gets 10,000 impressions/day?

    3) Does Page Rank matter?

First things first, unless your goal is to increase your own PR, forget about PR as a measure of value. Now as far as advertising goes, it all depends.

Assuming the site is targeted to your visitors, I would pay anywhere from $100 to $200 a month for a banner ad (above the fold) on a site that with 1,000 uniques/day. Quality is also a major concern. A quality site will always see an increase in traffic as long as the owner actively promotes it. So 1,000 unique from the month before can mean 1,500 for this month.

Well for image hosting you many want to consider advertising on community driven websites and social networks..basically to people that would actually use it. With all the image hosting sites out there...I personally think it would be difficult to convince someone to try your service over the other, more established companies also offering free hosting. But since I haven't seen your site, I wont jump to any conclusions.
