lets say i sell things on my website (auto parts) what could i expect to be a realistic conversion rate from visitors to customers?

i know it depends on many factors but what is the average conversion rate for such sites?

and whats the best method to get visitors who converts?

Realistically, people who market somewhat effectively receive 10% to 20% conversion between visitor to customer, leads, etc from one or more sources. Heavy hitters who excel in marketing tactics can increase the ratio to 30% to 40%.

as long as the number of conversions multiplied by the revenue received is greater than your total expenditures, I'd say your good!

I think 30-40% is a bit high. I'd say 4-6% is good, anything closer to
10% is great. I suppose I'm pulling these figures from email marketing,
but that's fairly representative of targeted traffic.

Of course, price, product and promotion all play into your conversion rate.
