What's 300,000+ exact monthly searches worth?

    I see a domain in my niche with 300,000+ monthly searches. I'm thinking I can funnel traffic into my other websites through this generic name.

    What would you pay for a 300,000+ exact monthly searches some something in your niche?

    If it's just the domain with no ranking, it is not worth much. I have a domain with 675,000 exact matches, and i sell it for 50$, did not have any takers so far. So just exact match, and high number of searches does not mean it's worth very much.

    High number of searches doesn't mean much if it doesn't convert.

    If you rank #50 for those keywords the search volume for YOUR site will be near zero. Even ranking #9 doesn't mean much. When you rank above #5 you've got something worthwhile.

    I've recently found a keyword with 1,000,000 exact monthly searches that I'm going to build a site for and try to rank but as stated lots of searches doesn't necessarily mean lots of $$$ - lots of variables!
