How come when I search on google

It shows links that are not my site. Such as This Page Was never on my site before. Why was it indexed? There is no site there. Also how do you tell Google to remove a link?

I have gotten like 327 Pages indexed but most of them do not belong to page.

google looks like it still has problems with the site: operator. One of my sites is showing pages from almost a year ago, none of which even exist now.

If you bought the site from someone at one point in time there might have been a page with URL shown.

Do a Google search for remove URL and request that they remove the page. I have read this works but also have read sometimes these old phantom pages my reappear if Google starts working with old information.

    Good luck.

Yea that site: operator has been messed up for a while. Just ignore for now until Google fixes things.

Apparently you picked up a new domain name that belonged to someone else before. Google still has the old pages indexed. I have the same problem on a site that I repurposed from a year ago. I hesitate to use Google's page removal process for fear of removing the entire site.

They publicly accepted the fact that it was broken after the big daddy update, and were supposed to have fixed it, but it's still screwey the majority of the time. I actually heard something about that and the supplemental index problem taking several months to fix because they basically have to recompile allof the data from scratch. That's a hell of a job given the size of google's index these days.

This seems to be more than a site: command problem when there are pages showing up that's not even there!!!! WTH did they get the pages from? Is the whole index screwed up with mixed pages and mixed domains?
What is REALLY going on with Google?????

it doesn't mean your sites aren't getting indexed, just that the site: operator is screwed up (although I suspect deeper problems at google anyway)

It all depends how the site operator is working. It should NOT get pages that doesn't belong to a web site, right? So why do they show up on this domain?
As far as I can understand it can not be the site command, it's got to be something deeper.
With all complaints about problems Google have right now I am sure that Google are having huge problems with their spidering, their algo and how they index pages but since they still show some kind of results in their SERP they don't really care, and IF they do, they don't know how to fix it. It seems that it has grown too much and now they can't handle it because of the complexity they put into it.

    The wayback machine at
    http://www.archive.org/web/web.php
shows the site back to november 2004 - was this yours or an earlier version?

I had a similar problem and submitted a URL removal request to get the old pages removed. The whole site, new and old pages (except the index page) has disappeared ever since - I'm hoping when the 6 months time limit of the removal is over it comes back again...

wouldn't it help to do a custom redirect page to your home page? at least if one of those pages shows up in a search - a user clicking on it will get to your home page. I think you can do that with htaccess
