    nobody uses them... the only thing would be if it was your name... but if you useitfor anything else... its a jokepretty much. Its not a respected TLD in my eyes. Thats just IMO

    Thats the general understanding of the .name domains
    When they first released I picked up a few very premium. I had to almost give them away. I have four of them left that will be dropping soon.

    Same with .ws Look at what is dropping on them, and not being picked up There are still a few buyers for them but not many. I do have goldcard.ws which is the only one that I had that more than payed itself off through parking

    .name isn't popular much right now.

    Don't know if it would become popular in future. Most of the people are still taking their own names in the .com TLD.

    .name is not considered a good gTLD for domains because it is very long and doesn't suit a professional website. However, it is not restricted to personal names only, you can register any keyword with this extension.

    I agree with fellow forumers
    .name was intended for personal pages or domains with people's real names
    Failed miserably
    I'm surprised with icann decisions, they approve .name but don't accept .xxx for example which would be a great TLD for adult domains to allow better handling of this industry from parents
