    You definately need to read I think about Internet Marketing to gain an understanding of how everything works - without that you will just be chasing your tail, trying different things and running into problems when you're knowledge of Im lets you down. Try to find a basic course that takes you through setting up a blogger or squidoo site and monetising it with amazon to start with - that way it doesn't cost you anything and you gain valuable experience in the meantime. Otherwise you will have to pay hosting fees and pay for domain names and also there is a bit of a learning curve setting up a wordpress site. Once you have set up a couple of blogger sites then you will have the confidence to go on and try wordpress etc. That's how I started :)

    Definitely just by reading about internet marketing and even purchasing e-books that could lead to your understanding more about making money online will help you be successful. Just work your hardest to make money in any way, and however it ends up working was more than likely worth it!

    You need traffic. You don't need a huge amount. You only need that if you rely solely on Advertising. To get traffic if you have a blog just write tonnes of posts and do things like guest posting like on myblogguest.com .

    You need targeted traffic to your campaigns, and not just one campaign but multiple ones to see which one is profitable. Also read a few ebooks on marketing, copywriting, and how to write effective advertisements.

    I think the thing that you need most when trying to make it online is the proper mindset. You can have all the knowledge and tools in the world but if you don't have the mindset to to take focused, consistent action then you lose before you begin.
