First I want to tell you that seo is a log time posses it never end. if you got #1 on serps then still you need to continue your work as you did in past and changes are very important, you should always be alert from your competitors and looks Google algorithm. Update your site regular and add fresh content as well.

If you are going down on serps then 1st start Press Release try to post at least tow press release in week and get back links from other sites as well.

Before one year when I start my site, it acquire top 10 in google and stayed for one year.

But when I saw it in top for long I just stop the link building.
Thatz why I getout for few keywords.

Thank you for clarifying what deep linking is. So I should create some links that go to a specific page on my site, and not the homepage? Will this help my homepage to rank higher too, or will it only help that other page?

 

You must update the SEO on you page to keep up with the changes in the SERPs.
