1998 around the time FreeServe started up. I got a free CD, grabbed a modem and went online. Ran up £180+ bills per month till I got broadband a few years later.
Somewhere around 1998, I was only 7-8 that time and had dialup connection I don't actually remember what I used to surf
I remember first using the internet at school back in 1997. I used it very rarely until we got dial up internet back at home in 1999 at which point, ive been hooked ever since
96-97 I first used public Internet 97 I bought WebTV. Pretty advanced now that I think about it! I was viewing the Internet on a 28 inch screen with wireless keyboard on the comfort of my couch while most people had no Internet in thier homes. I even built my first Geocities page on WebTV! I remember it had a high tech animated monkey on it (lotsa flashy stuff)!
First time I believe it was in 1995 or 1996. More regularly around 97 and 98. I was around when AOL had all those connection problems. I was part of the problem.
That would be 1995. But I had been chatting online through BBS systems for many years prior. Primarily the Affinity BBS in St. Louis.
It was in 1998.....Google and yahoo are the sites i opened first....Really got excited with a=yahoo messenger chat option
My first email was in 89 or so, and that was sent through someone else. I was like, "what is this imail or amail or whatever?"
2000. I remember watching somebody in school use what I think was the original hotmail, and i thought it looked great and wanted a go myself How the world has changed
It has been about 12 years now I guess. My sister was using IRC for entertainment from her college dorm. I decided to visit her at a chat channel and then I was hooked on the whole chatting thing for af ew years. From there I went to multiplayer games, Warcraft II to be exact, and that really interested me in creating websites and stuff. From there, I got into web development. And now, internet marketing.
