I am starting a Wordpress store that will have shoes, shirts and other clothing that will have to have color and size choices. Do most of the store themes include the ability to choose sizes and color? What would your ecommerce store theme choice be?

For most of the general websites 2012 and thesis themes works great. As it is an ecommerce site based on shoes and all you would have to choose an appropriate theme.

Not all themes work with all plugins so before getting too excited always check early on that your online store plugin will work with your theme.

Once you have a theme that you like and works you can personalize it as much as you like but particularly with new header &/or footer graphics/s.

The theme has nothing to do with colors/sizes of products - that is configured in the online store your using usually installed by a plugin. Which one have you decided to use?

I have never used wordpress for my ecommerce stores... I preferred to use Shopping carts (Magento and Prestashop in most cases)

But here I found a list of 30 wordpress themes... I don't know which one is the best but you can read review before trying them or ask experts for the same.
You may want to consult Ignitras (I ‘ve got my all complex stores made from them)

Wordpress also have some ecommerce plugins, you may probably want to try those. Search for "wordpress ecommerce" and you will find the plugin that I mentioned.

My preference of an e-commerce plugin is the paid WP-eStore plugin from http://www.tipsandtricks-hq.com although I have installed the free version of WP-eCommerce plugin from http://www.getshopped.net on one site. TipsandTricks-hq have good documentation and an excellent support forum to assist you.
