I thought I'd ask the potential target auidence what they'd like to see in a jobs / advertising board, before starting work on it for one of my sites. Initially, it will be a paid review opportunities board, although will expand as time goes on. I want to gather a few ideas, so that I don't make something that would suit me, rather than everyone else. I should make clear that the emphasis of the site is all about cutting out the middle-man, and so payments are made directly to the blogger, rather than to a 3rd party, then distributed. Bloggers can then make more money (since there is no commission taken) and still keep prices down for advertisers. Advertisers will leave "job requests" at the board, which will outline what they are looking for, along with a set of basic criteria a blog must meet to be eligible, and a limit as to the number of responses wanted. Each blogger who wants to respond to a request, will already have their blog listed on the site, containing information about the blog. My initial thoughts were that if a blogger is interested in a particular opportunity, they can then list their blog underneath the request with one click (so it would look like a forum thread, or a directory category listing). The advertiser would then be able to see all those interested in writing for them at a glance. This is where I get a little stuck as to what the best way forward is from that point. Should the advertiser then go down the list and approve those blogs he likes the look of, or is that step unnecessary at this stage? Because of the nature of the site, the job information can be sent directly to the blog admin panel (wordpress), or to a hosted management console (non-wordpress) for the blogger to then request payment and write about. Any bloggers / advertisers out there have any thoughts on how they would like to see something like this work?
