What would you say is optimal keyword% use in body text?

    what would you say is the optimal percentage of keyword use in body text? I have always believed to aim for around 5-7% but I recently changed mine down to 3% as advised by an seo tool which I think is a bit low and I think my rankings may have suffered because of this.

    I think 2 to 4% keyword is enough in body text.

    Generally around 4%. Although I don't believe you should substitute quality content for keywords. It's obvious to readers when you do that which can lead to poor articles or content pages.

    Poor content = poor turnover. Less sales.

    They say 1-2 % write it so it reads naturally..
