    An affiliate marketing newb...

Well what most people are saying is to create landing pages for your affiliates, so here are my questions:
    1. Where would you create an affiliate page? (New Domain Name or Sub-Domain Name)?
    2. What type of content would you include in the landing page?
    3. How would you design the page for your visitors?
    4. Would you include other affiliate landing pages on the same domain name (different pages)?
    5. For aZoogle, do you have to signup with an affiliate or do you just use the supplied link? (and what's a sub-ID?)
    6. Where would you market your landing pages?

    Thanks!

    hi sixty6.

These are a few interesting questions. Since you have decied to add affiliate links on your site(s), you will have to consider a few things:

    1. The affiliate you choose should be offering products and services related to what you have to offer on your website. This will help increase the conversion rate.

2, Next you have to decide which affiliate you want to contact and on your page. Of course you can contact more affiliates and put them on your website. You just have to try and sign up with an affiliate who offers more commission.

    3. You can add the landing pages to your existing site. You don't need a separate domain for it. If your website is already functional and gets a steady amount of traffic, you can use it to sell the products to them.

    4. Another idea is to have a sub-domain for the affiliates and shopping. For example, I've added a separate subdomain for shopping on my cooking site

    http://www.cook-it-all.com
    http://online-shopping.cook-it-all.com

This section only has affiliate links and products, and I've made landing pages and sections for the products I intend to add. All these landing pages will have related content.

    5. More than one affiliate can be added to your site, given that the Affiliate Terms and conditions allow you to do that.

    6. You can market your landing pages as you market other sections of your existing website. If you add related content, your site should automatically rank on Search Engines, and you will get traffic to your new sub-domain.

Also, try and get links for the new sub-domain, do submissions etc. That shouldn't be a problem at all.
