What would you like to see in a new directory script?

I'm working on a new directory script. I'm almost finished except some little bugs and retouches. I would like to learn what you would like to see in a directory script? Which features would you like it to have? Feel free to mention your ideas. So I can improve my script. By the way, when I'm finished I will need some beta testers, and beta testers will be able to use it for free.

Thanks guys. The script already has spam prevent option. I don't know what a deep link is, so I will search the forum for it and learn what it is. After I learn, I can add deep links feature to the script as well

Yes, but what do those deep links do? Where are they shown? Can you show me an example of regular listing with deep links option?

that it can:
accept multiple payment forms not just paypal
has SEOd page titles
that it also has a range of good templates available as default
oh and support is important especially for a new script..

 

1. Whether its SEO friendly or not.
2. Multiple payment options.
3. Multiple listing options.
4. User-friendliness.

 

I might do something about multiple payment forms, e-gold for example. Titles are already optimized and there will be at least 3 templates at first release. The script is SEO and user friendly. And to talk about support, since I'm on my own on this project, I will try to help as much as I can

About multiple listing options, do you mean like regular, featured and such options or something else?

 

Featured - Permanent (You can give a different name to this like Sponsors, or..)
Featured - Yearly
Regular
Reciprocal
etc.. like that.

 

Thanks for the ideas. There will be permanent, yearly and montly listing options. And also regular, featured and reciprocal. I'm thinking about an option of free listing as well, but with nofollow.

 

Also have deep links on my dir. But seems it's little bit smarter.
Deep links allowed for featured links only.
Deep links are dsiplayed on both: category link page and link detail page.
And all very easy for submitters. Just check featured option and deep links are activated.
Review some popular categories on LinkForever.net.
People do like it. Almost all featured submitters use this nice addition.

Coming back to main theme.
I wish my directory could make cappuccino for me as I'm too lazy to go to kitchen. The rest is in my hands.

Can you explain a bit more about tagging and wordcloud? I know what they're, but I would like to know what you especially want about them, so I can improve my script.

 

Flexiblity with the word cloud, being able to configure it to show a certain size text, dimensions or in certain colors would be great.

If you templating system worked like Joomla's it would be great, you just download the zipped template and through the admin you browse and click on it and it is installed, that would be nice!
