Hi there. I'm from Turkey. It's a 10-million unique user base sector. (My assumption) In this sector, there're many forums, dating sites. Not many content oriented sites. The reason is simple: The ADSL came in 2005, and user-base exploded suddenly. The second reason: Most internet companies think that in Turkey they should create dating sites to earn money. Well, for sure dating kind of things boom in every country, but since I don't want to do such things in principle, I want to give myself to a content oriented project. Turkish wikipedia achieved 100K and there's an Eveything2-like-dictionary (http://www.eksisozluk.com) achieved 10million write-ups. So I don't want to create an exact dictionary which has no chance compared to tr.wikipedia.org. What would you do? I plan to create something like ask.yahoo.com or howstuffworks. What would you create if you had this chance? I see this as a chance to be the first in the sector. Moreover: I've created a social bookmarking site. Well, since there're not many content around, I mostly link English sites. When there's no content, linking is used only by people who knows English well. So I grow it, but now sure at all.
