what would you do with this site?

i have had this domain name for some time, and I have just started developing it. basically, i followed advice on here. I learned basic HTML then CSS the CMS stuff and now I am here again. Great forum for help!

Anyway my main goal really is to have a community grow. Lord knows I have suffered with student loan debt. But then I thought "Hey might as well try the adsense thing while I am at it?"

So any advice would be grand. I don't mind changing order or color scheme or anything.

    My thoughts...

    1. The placement of the ads seem to be good. That said the 728 leaderboard at the top isn't very visible because of the colors used. I know you're trying to keep to the color scheme but I don't think that's helping your CTR.

Maybe changing the background colour of that div would help...

    2. I notice you're making use of the channels which is good. However does this actually work? Whenever I use channels it seems to give me a number (like your 120x240 ad)...
    3. You could consider placing a horizontal link unit above the header on each page. Link units have a good CTR, take up little space and personally I love them :D

    4. On the "Investing for College" page all your ads seem to be showing stock market related ads, which isn't really relevant to the content in my opinion. You could use section targeting to resolve this issue.

Anyway I better be off. Hope that helped :D
