What would you do with a link on Google homepage for one day?

    I'd sell it too. I'd auction it right here on DP. ;)

    Of course you could sell the link. How could they stop you. If they are allowing you to use the link of your choice, you could use the link of a "good friend" (read: high bidder). And your "good friend" could send you a small financial donation, just because they are a friend. ;)

    For me, selling the link would be ignorant. In fact, if you get one, and your dumb enough to sell it, please call me, I'll buy it no problem. Making money one time in a sale is nothing compared to what you can make over the long run if you can build a successful online business.

    I am promoting a writing contest now at advicenetwork.com/contest

    I would use my google for the day to get as many people into my contest. Why? Because in the long run I am working to build a company that is worth as much as about.com, thats why.

    But you are talking as someone who has a site to promote and someone who is interested in having an online business... There are a few of us here that don't. ;) I'll PM you first, as soon google tells me I get the link. How much would you pay for it (theoretically, of course)??
