What would you do with $5000?

So hypothetically what would you do with $5000 online? Would you buy websites? Buy content? Would you just put it in a savings account and get a high interest rate?

How would you invest $5000 online? It can be put into several things, don't put all your eggs in one basket :D

And realistically how long would it take you to make back your investment?

I would contact a web developer and get a highly professional and customized website. Ofcourse you would need a well thought out idea before you start though.

I might buy a website that makes around $500 per month! With little bit of work, I can probably get 2 times the amount spent in 1 year and the value of the site at that stage would be two times amount spent. Overall, 400% percent return on investment in 1 year :)

I would use half of it to buy Google stocks and half of it to buy Yahoo! stocks, and mos likely, the Google stocks will go up, and Yahoo! is doing fine too, but if it gets bought by some big company, then it will be profitable too. :)

Well I need to purchase Dreamweaver...and with that amount of money I might as well buy the complete package. Dreamweaver would be a sound investment, because in the long run it would earn me money.

I'd use the rest of the money and pump it into the "incentive based marketing website" that im currenctly with. I'd probably break even within 1 month. -so dam good.

    :)

Thanks for the ideas guys, I was thinking about buying a site too and trying to improve it. Or maybe several smaller sites. Trouble is it can be a bit risky, you lose a search engine position and next thing your profits drop etc. Guess all investing is a risk!

Just stay focused on 1 idea or site. Do not get frustrated with several smaller sites if you have a $5000 budget.

So in terms of buying a website, you think it would be better to spend more on just one website rather than buy several smaller websites? Makes sense to me, spending 5k on the 1 website though sounds like it could go a bit wrong! It's a bit of a gamble, but no pain no gain, right? :D

Well of course, you would be in no hurry to buy a website. You would have enough time to choose wise.

Personally, I would invest those $5,000 in few areas. Firstly, I would probably spend a part of it on my current primary website, to improve it, add more good content, buy some good backlinks and so on. Secondly, I have few very unique and interesting projects in my mind. The only thing that keeps me from starting them is lack of funds. So there would go the biggest part fo the money.

I do not think you can buy any website of value for $5000 I would invest in my best websites through additional content, advertising etc

    buy out DP?

Not that they would sell up, but its worth an offer. You could easily make a return on it I should think! Or even buy out other websites etc :)

You think you could buy DP for $5000?

I would fund a large project, a brand new website from scratch. I would then spend the rest on purchasing a number of websites, getting them to generate a good profit and then sell them on for more

It would depend on what I need.

If I need traffic, I might buy a website that has a ton of traffic coming in as a launch platform for some sites I am launching. Or, I might develop a new website. I have some that needs more detailed scripts and players among other things. So I could just as easily do that. Or I might do a ton of photoshoots, and launch a whole new adult site with original content.

    Really... just depends.
