I've banned his IP address. He came to my forum, and pm me (he didnt realized it) to join his forum instead. What should I do to filter out these arseholes? Should I sent him a warning letter to his forum, or try to mess up his forum? I've banned his IP, but I don't know whether he might come back again with proxy. What would you do if you're in my shoes?
It is a free market, though what your competitor did wasn't very ethical, only recourse at the moment is to ban his IP, put a notice on the forum stating that some competitors are doing that and make it sound bad. Do not put the name though in case of defamation that may be involved.
Don't worry about the guy. Sabotaging might not be a nice thing to do and if I were you, I wouldn't care or bother much.
Now thats like if some one steal your thing you go back to his house and commit a theft @OP You just concentrate on your content and link building..there are lot of people who will do anything for copy paste stuff as they want everything readymade.. but rest assure hard work will pay
Thanks, yes I also feel that effort shouldn't be waste. I'd focus on my link building instead. He's probably just jealous I'm gaining traffic in such a short time. But just to let you guys know, his alexa rank is 200k+, while mine is 5 million under 2 weeks old lol. Both of our forum are adult related, and if any adult webmasters wish to know this blacksheep, I'll be glad to pm you his url and IP address.
if you have enough confidence in your own services, you need not bother much. or, you can add new innovations to your service and see the difference for yourself!
