Same here. They are a very respectable company and a good client to have on the books. Moreover, the sites they submit are also from very well respected companies as well so you will get some good clean sites and content from them. I'd work with them if I were you. They will keep submitting afterwords as well.

Not a bad deal, and whole of that depends on you whether you want to accept that deal or not.

And also depends on your present earnings from the directory, if you are not making much from the directory then the deal seems to be good

 

I don't know If that is a Link Bait, But I will say take the offer now or just leave it man, Your directories are really cool, that is what I can say.

 

If you refuse the offer - send them my way. I have everything they want with old PR4 directories.

Anyway, I I was you - I would have certainly accepted the offer- with conditions that - only sites which pass your own editorial standard would be accepted.

I would stick to my policies regarding yearly featured, and offer them some sort of discount for a bulk submission instead, if they were willing to accept that.

Regardless of the sudden lump sum, i dont think exceptions should be made, its not that much money either, you could regret giving in further down the road.

 

Regarding Bulk submissions, do any of you approach SEO companies to get regular business from them or do you let them come to you?

If your good enough, they will find you, is that how you play it?

Back to your original question; accepting a bulk submission offer is not a problem as long as you're not making any compromises and adhere to your policy. In other words, maintain your editorial integrity.

Have you discussed what will become of submissions that don't meet your guidelines?

Or is your only consideration the amount that they'd be paying? Seems that was the only concern for more than a few members here.

 

Thing is they never offered anything wanted me to offer them, what i should have done was ask them what offer they plan to offer me instead of me telling them my offer.

 

i remember when i made the deal with big mouth media on idk. Since i did not want to make featured links permanent, we concluded upon regular links. But then again they gave me a contract of over 230 regular links.

The sites they submit are quality because it includes companies like Emirates Airline, Vonage, Motorolla, Cingular, British Airways, Hilton Hotels (And many subpages of these sites) As a separate link.


I would rethink about a permanent featured because later on as your site grows it will give you a hard time because then you would have to increase the amount of featured links to 100 in each category if it fills up you know or clients like me won't submit (one reason why i didn't submit to cascandra) because i only want featured links in quality directories.

They've been buying links one @ a time from me. However, I have received mail multiple times from other companies on offers to submit multiple links. I am afraid to agree in case links are spammy.

 

If you make it clear that you will only accept submissions which comply with your guidelines it could lessen the chance of any misunderstanding or expectations that any submission would be accepted.

 

Tell them to contact me. I'll take an offer like that for my directory. I have no intentions of changing feature links to regular links.

smub im thinking i have very strong and poplular directory (cascandra) and lots of people submit their sites with featured option. You must know my directory categories have max 15 and 16 links spot with max 5 and 6 featured links spot.
