What would you do if you were offered $3800 + for bulk featured listings?

    Hello,
so i got an offer for www.h-log.com for like about 150+ bulk featured listings. But thing is they want to have them for life, but i accept featured for a year than demote them to regular listings. So what you do if you got such an offer.

Oh i said $3800+ cause if you see on http://www.h-log.com/submit.php featured listings are only $25.95 so about 3892$ approximately. for if like 150 featured urls.

would you take the offer and make them featured for life, or stick to your policies ? Well i emailed them back saying they will be featured for a year, unless they have offer to put on table for lifetime. You think i did right or does everyone here considers lifetime as approximately 1 year anyways ? Cause i know few users here at dp consider lifetime as 1 year max. Whereas i consider lifetime as long as site is live and kicking and under my control and i am not dead sort of scenario ?

    Cheers

Very often lifetime is only 1 year or a couple of years... depends on the dir owner... but as for your offer i thinks its such a great offer i would just give them lifetime anyhow.

while i rested my weary head...
I'd pay someone to write unique quality articles on a weekly basis and have them submitted to article sites.
I'd pay bloggers to tag my URL to keywords in their blogs.
I'd pay someone to submit me to directories under my category.

I am just wondering how far you will bend your policies for a little cash - how about if those 150+ submissions were adult oriented sites or gambling?

I received something similar to this a couple days ago - I think it is in my junk mail folder because in my mind I would lose the ability to just say no.

I think if you allow them lifetime listings you should also allow that to everyone. imo

If the sites pass your quality standard then I would accept the offer.

Easy for me to say as all my accepted links are lifetime away.

    Good luck to you.

    Thanks Brian

If you bend the rules, more bulk submissions will come in making you bend the rules again. Either change them, or stick to your policy no matter what is on the plate.

If they give $3800 x 2 for lifetime links, i'd jump on that. My neice could have the best xmas ever. :)

I received a similar offer last month. The guy wanted 30 Featured AND permanent listings for less then the price of a standard listing at yearly fee.. Ofcourse i turned that down.

very good link bait :D, just kidding, if i were you i would accept this offer, its fair to give them lifetime listings in a pr3 directory if they order 150 links, for that price ($3800) they can buy a good etablished pr5 directory and add as many listings as they wish. infact am selling 8 etablished, strong, natural pr4 directories (i never bought any links for them) for 6.5k.. hehe if anyone is interested pm me :)!

Personally on my UK One directory I'd say NO. Depends on how much you love your site and whay type of potential it has.

Do you plan to develop further?

PS. Lifetime is lifetime in my book too.

Yes that is why i put an offer of 2 years to 4 years max instead of lifetime (which can be 20- 30 years depends on how long i will live :p) on their plate, lets see if they want to take it or not. ;).

Got another offer from seocompany.ca hmm gonaa start separate thread to ask about the same.
