2001.... I had to think about it. 9/11 happened on my sons birthday and we had tickets to the Padres/Dodgers game that night. The game was cancelled. We moved back to Palm Springs in Feb. 2002
You're thinking of Little Tampico's which is actually in Soquel (close to Aptos though). I played soccer in highschool, goalie mostly...that was 85 and 86. There weren't a lot of girls teams back then. We played guys sometimes but I can't remember which schools. We had some hardcore players and a coach who had been in on the Olympic team. We went to the state finals but I caught strep throat and couldn't go. Ahhh...the memories. Yea, it makes you feel old when you start counting in decades.
Wow, the world keeps getting smaller. What are we, like 2 degrees of separation now? I had a cousin, Randy Boyd, who went to RLS. I don't remember the years, probably early 80s. My only real memory of him from then is when we were driving in his mom's Volvo, and went across a lane of traffic to get into a shopping center, and BAM! We got creamed, t-boned (as much as a short Volvo can be). Everyone lived, amazingly. In fact, no one even went to the hospital. But afterward, the guy kept calling Randy's mom, leaving freaky nonsense messages. Totally unnerved us. Anyway, sorry, that's really OT, isn't it.... -Tony
I to was wild crazy- When I was reading your post I thought you were talking about me lol. I would do things exactly opposite - I would have finshed school , went to church and did what my mama told me to do....NOT Really though I would not have been so anxious to grow up, I would have enjoyed each day to the fullest
Heheh *High Fives you!* I also would have not been so anxious to grow up. I couldn't wait until I turned 18 for some reason, then when I did - I wished I was young again. Although I would have done a few things differently, at least we had fun & lived a little. I know some 20+ year olds that wish they'd had more fun as a teen and not been such a goody two shoes. I don't know what i'll tell my future children if they ever ask what mummy was like as a teen. I will have to lie me thinks.
When I was 16 it was all about doing pills, getting drunk, bopping all night in the R'n'B room and rebelling against any sort of authority. Ah those were the days. No cares, worries or responicilities. Someone used to say to me.. As you grow older you can tell by the amount of keys on your keychain how grown up and how much responcibility you have. I have lots of keys on mine now.
its not just a sig... its my life seriously =P Of course to professional people I just say "I have 99 problems" I leave the rest off <3
That's good. Many people it's the opposite. Everything in life going well, but problems at home. That can spoil everything then, seriously.
