It really depends on what you are good at. If you have never run a business before, I would avoid sinking $100k into some franchise operation.

What areas have you been successful at in the past?

Unless you're set on entrepreneurship, you could give pennystocks a try. Or invest in other people's projects, ideas, or businesses. Of course be sure to do your research no matter what you do.

Having us giving you suggestions, is pretty hard. We can't just say, oh put it in "this" and you will be good to go. If you want to be a business owner, you need to obtain or start something that you are good at doing.

The only other option is to buy a business that has success already without the owner, and has a great management team, and is profitable, but these things will be hard to find in your 100k budget.

I would stay with brick and mortar if you do not know the internet well.

Well you could always start a drop-shipping biz.... (hot tips, there are not that many gothic clothing stores ;D ;D ;D ).
Don't need a lot to invest, all the product comes from third parties, all you need is a website(and preferably an SSL Certificate) and you're good to go ^^
Then drop a few k's in advertising and PPC, then flip the store after a few months.

You can create some e-store for different products like gogles, belt, purse etc. you can direct buy product from China and deliver it to in your country, you have enough fund so you can do better marketing as well as you can invest on buying products

try to create 4-5 different e-store so you can judge in which product you are getting more profit according to that give more focus on that product

I'm not sure about the situation there in Turkey. But a few years ago I came into some money.(a bit more than you are talking about) I invested much of it in real estate and it has worked out well for me. It is hard not to profit from real estate as long as the economy that you are dealing with is stable, and you have the patience to see the thing through. (real estate prices do tend to fluctuate)

I know we spoke briefly through PM but do some research my friend. If you are going down the route of purchasing from some of the Asian countries with a view to reselling these products in Turkey, look at what is in demand in your home country. Would you cater for the tourism trade?
Also, how do you intend on selling? Through online stores is a saturated market so unless you have skills in this particular area, it will be a steep learning curve.

First off, don't spend all that money on a business. Start a website and invest money into getting traffic and promoting it, then monetize the traffic. Taht's the most stable online business you'll find, because YOU own the site and the business.

In my country turkish cloth is so popular, I think if you created a cloth brand and your created stores in the middle east this would make a lot of money.

@txf how much are you realistically planning on making per year after investing the $100k?
