Hey all... As simple as this - I have a lot of sites on Adsense. 2 of them have an almost constant CTR of 15-20%. I know that this is a very high CTR so I don't know whether I should be happy or concerned. I also know that all of my sites comply with the Adsense TOS perfectly so I am not pulling any sort of trick with my placement to get those clicks, nor am I paying others to click or clicking myself. 85% of my traffic is organic. Please advise! Thanks
I, up until recently, had my CTR at 20%-30%. It has dropped now for various reasons and I am doing all I can to get it back. I wouldn't be concerned if my CTR was 40 and 50 %.
This is too high, You should check your account twice a day and check may be some one is clicking on your add however if you have right traffic then no need to worry but if you see any thing unusual always inform Google else they can block the account
Well, you should not worry as far as all those are real clicks. Google only suspects when frauds are done from single IP. - Digital -
What would you do if you had a 20% CTR??? -I'd be worried about it. Your pages doesn't offer high quality information, does it?
How can that be done? There must be something dodgy going on to get CTR's of 20% or you must be doing something extremely clever. You could sell the idea if its true that you're getting click-thru-rates that high. I think Google will be looking very closely at your activities, so just make sure everything is running the way it should be without breaking any Adsense TOS.
I just wrote a LONG post in reply to all of your comments - which I thank you for. However, DP crashed on me and I lost it lol So, I'll keep it short and on the point. 1) For UpL0ad3r - My pages do offer "quality" information... but does this matter? If there is someone clicking on ads in an effort to get me banned, I am sure he/she is not reading it lol 2) For those of you that said you wouldn't be concerned - Thanks That's what I wanted to hear. Then again, why is it that I haven't heard anyone claim such high CTR % in the past? Everybody says that a 5-7% is perfect. I am doing 3 times that :S 3) For Ironclad - I am not doing anything "extremely clever". Nothing to sell really.. The only advice I can give is to make a site with specific information on a family of products and target specific keywords so that the traffic that you get is made out of people who are interested in buying or finding more information in regards to those products. Would love to hear more comments people. Please don't waste time asking me or implying that I am doing any sort of "trick".. I am not. I am not violating ANY policies either... I am just genuinely concerned about the future of my account. If everything is fine, I'll just keep recreating that effect with more sites and eventually I'll be making some good money. The question is... how can I be sure? Thanks in advance!
I would be more than with happy with such a good CTR. A high ctr when combined with a high paying niche will naturally translate in to a good adsense income.
Thanks I never said how many visitors I get though hehe I am not making any special earnings yet.. but hoping that the visitors will increase with time and that the CTR will remain the same or rise! If that happens, money is coming! Ok. Everybody agrees with that. Is there a way to check though? Please do tell. I integrated Adsense with Analytics and my stats show that almost 95% of the clicks are coming from organic traffic (google, bing, yahoo). Does that mean that I am "safe"? I know it doesn't - but I thought I should mention it Open to suggestions... Also, 1 more thing to note is that I tried changing something on the site yesterday and I only got 8% CTR - Changed it back today and again 20ish%. That's one more reason to believe that the clicks are real - isn't it? What do you think?
That's sweet. If it's purely organic and you comply with all of the TOS, then you should be fine. One of my blogs is getting a pretty high CTR as well. It all depends on volume and other parameters for Google to get excited and investigate.
