What would trigger a review?

I was looking for a thread already on this but oddly couldn't find one...

Just curious if anyone knows what triggers a review of a publisher's site(s)?

    High CTR?
    High $$$??

    Anyone know?

    That's what I figured.

Do they do random reviews? Or reviews if a publisher makes a certain amount of $?

Does it really matter? If one sticks to the TOS, there won't be a problem

I knew that response would be coming from someone.

I'm paranoid because i just got banned from YPN for something that they OK'd. People get banned all the time for sticking to the TOS.

If they said it was ok, so just sent them the email with that and they should give your account back...

I already did that. I have the Case # and everything where they said I could run it on that site, but they won't listen to me because they treat publishers like garbage.

And do a search for "adsense banned" or something. It's ridiculous how many people get banned for "invalid clicks" when they don't click their own ads. I could go anyone's site and get them banned ...I'd just click the ads over and over. That part of the program is so flawed. I have an idea Google ......use your uber technology and don't count more than one click from the same IP. Is it that difficult?

No, it's not. But it's easier for them to give one of their publishers the boot because they have so many. This is why I can't wait til YPN is out of Beta, MSN comes out with theirs, and hopefully some stand-alone companies with credibility come along. Adbrite is OK, but no threat at all.

I get the feeling nt99 will eventually cop to invalid clicks by the 2nd or 3rd page. Don't they always?

jack, what are you talking about? I don't even see my Google ads at all because I'm geo-targeting them to non-US folks. I don't give a rat's ass what "they" always do.

    No, devin, it's not.

For being on an Adsense forum, I'd think you would know that there are plenty of occurrences of bannings when people don't click their own ads. Like I said, give me a site and I'll go click the ads 500 times and get that person banned. Granted, I wouldn't do that because it would take a really low person to do so, butI'm saying it could be done.

edit: and another thing, I've been using Adsense for a year and a half now. Why would I just now start clicking my own ads?

The way you're going on and on about Adsense, it seems to be heading toward a, "They banned me for invalid clicks and I did nothing wrong! post.

    /shrug Maybe I'm wrong. Happens. :)

I got banned once becaue I cost the advertisers to much money.

If the conversion rate for advertisers is too low, they think they pay too much for Google Adwords. Google steps in before they complain and kick off low conversion sites which cost too much money.

They let me in after 6 month (after dozens of pleas please please emails)

jack, nah I'm not banned. I am/was just stirred up about things with the banning of my YPN account (for something they said was OK).

    But all's well.

michiinjapan, I've heard of similar things happening with other people. Kinda crazy.
