My perfect text link purchasing system would be an automated system similar to adbrite, but with static text links.
Adbrites links are javascript I believe, and serve no seo purpose. Static links on other websites through an automated system would be ideal. If I were and advertiser, I'd like to be able to click a button to approve a link, then the payment gets credited to my account and the links appear on my site.
What would make me want to join is there already being a lot of members or sales going on (so I know it's worth my while). Since you're new you can't of course offer that, but maybe the press release could highlight expected growth, partnerships with other sites, something to show that your website does or will have traffic.
I would agree with mdvaldosta, static text links. Some of the best links and feeds I find are all javascript.
