    Dear findklik !

You should bring traffic to your site, the more traffic will come the more users will sign up.

If you are using the articles source give some incentives in the resource box or do not give them the complete information in the article and ask them to come to the site

Similarly if you are using yahoo answers as a source do no give complete information and write the address of your own site in the source box

So more and more will be signing up to have the complete information

    Regards

    Tehmina

My home page has the smallest cut of traffic that the site brings in total. Majority go to a specific article/blog post. So they won't lose interest.

I would, but I'm only using the homepage as a type of 'portal' to the rest of the site, where the content is.

Only about 15%, not half :p

It may be just a problem for you, not a single other person has mentioned this.

I don't sell anything, the site isn't very dial-up friendly. Like most of the sites available today.

Again, only you are reporting this. Maybe someone on your network is using the bandwidth?

    Hello, thanks for your reply!

Currently I won't like to move the ads since they convert to a nice CTR. I also do have an about us available, but I also have that on a few of the menu sections to show what exactly the page is :p

    Thanks for your awesome reply!

I'll looking into testing your suggestions. I see what you mean with the information regarding what the site has available and what it does. Answers to your questions should be available. But, to answer them here. Yes it will get indexed within an hour and 3 external links per article are allowed. I'll look into getting this more blatent on the site :)

I just started a banner campaign aimed at users to sign up. You will see it as a dominant header and each page from now on while you area guest, registered users don't see ads or the banner. I'll test this out for a week and see the conversation rate and how I can improve it :)

    Thanks again for your feedback

    Thanks for your reply.

I understand what you mean with inticing users with more information and I do need to add more 'calls to action' in my content to see if it gives better results.

If you'd like to see the new banner campaign in action visit http://mostuseful.co.uk

Feedback on how appealing it is would be fantastic.

Thanks again for all your feedback :)

Very very confusing. From start till nearly end, so many big banners and then suddenly Google Ads. Where is the Introduction or something which should make people sign up . People normally ignore such bulky banners. And then at the very end of the site you have got 3 things together (Quick Links, Sign up and Who's online) .This is certainly the reason for low sign up which you stated. I mean the Sign up section should be little bit enlarged or separate or something inviting rather then hidden in such a manner.

Just trying to help you .
    Best of Luck

    Thanks for your reply :)

I've now removed the block ads on a few 1,000 pages where they may get in the way and only left the link ads at the top, the homepage was one of the ones that got cleared up. Improvement? :)

Also, no-one seems to have said anything about the very top 'Register' is everyone missing it? If so, what improvements to that, you'd think would make it stick out more?
