What would happen if Google suddenly vanished ?

    1) No Google search means that internet will be never be the same again, finding information would not be as easy as it is today as other search engines are not upto the mark.
    2) No GMail means that we'll have to deal with those non-java inboxes again which take ages to load.
    3) No Orkut - wouldn't make much of a difference, but Orkut's unique idea of scrapping will be grabbed by someone else.
    4) No Adsense - no one will cry about being banned & YPN will become even more hard to get.
    5) DP's traffic will remain just 1/3rd of what it is now.

There are so many alternatives like yahoo and live, that there would be not much problem, just some methods to archieve good positions would be changed a lot.

maybe DP's traffic gets 3 times, since we won't have a single main search engine, but others (yahoo, live, ask, whatever) at similar quality level :p

I could live with Yahoo! Search, but I prefer Google. I also love the look of the new Yahoo Mail Beta, but Gmail is faster. I use Gmail. In the end, it wouldn't bother me a whole lot. I like Google, though.

    1. There will be a lot of unhappy people left holding shares of a non existent company.
    2. Text Link prices will drop

No man this is not going to happen, DP users love Dp, no matter what happened, Dp traffic cant be affected. :)
How? if google disapear people will stop optimizing there websites?
if google gone, people need no traffic? or ranking?

That would really suck. Most of us depend on the traffic that Google brings.
