    width:1325px;
    margin:0 auto;

    Is this too big a a div to have.

    If you user has a screen resolution that is higher than 1325px it will not scroll. But the best size for current browsers and users is to go by the 1024 x 768 resolution. At this resolution your main wrapper div should be at 960px no bigger. This is because you have to take into account the browser window which will take up extra space on the screen. The only way that I would recommend using that 1325px screen res, is if you're planning on having your users scroll left to right using the bottom scroll bar.

    One way in which you'll know the screen resolutions of your visitors is to add analytics to your site and see what their screen res happen to be.

    For a while, designing sites for 1024px wide screens seemed to become the norm (body tag 1010px wide or less to account for the vertical scrollbar and margin), up from 800px wide a few years ago (body tag 770px wide or less). But now with mobile devices like iPhone, Android and iPad becoming very popular that's blown out of the water. Don't forget Netbooks too, which have small screens and less resolution than regular laptops/desktops.

    Mobile devices will scale as best they can, but cope better with layouts that are either fluid/elastic design and can scale back to smaller widths, or fixed width sites that are not too wide to begin with.

    So I would recommend 1325px wide is way too big if you want your site to work well for as many visitors as possible.
