    Hi all,

Can someone please let me know the probability of being penalized if my website is listed over some penalized websites?

Will my website be penalized or not??

    Thanks in advance!!

no not at all. in case you are linking back to it then Google might look into it and take some strict stand but if it is only a backlink from that site to yours, you are not going to get affected.

You cannot typically be penalized because of your inbound links because you have no control over who links to you.

You can, however, be penalized because of your outbound links. So if you have outbound links to a site that is caught violating Google's webmaster guidelines and subsequently penalized, you do stand the chance of also being penalized... ESPECIALLY if you are reciprocal linking or n-way linking (i.e. link exchanging) with them.

You probably won't be penalized but I would remove them anyway if possible. Google may look at these links and possibly factor them in if it recognizes other issues with the on-page of your site that violates Google's webmaster guidelines

Yes it could. Remember how Google doesn't like webmasters selling links? Putting your ad on a link-selling website could get you de-indexed and penalized for a long time.

I don't remember which website this has happened a lot on, but be careful because I know one of them is notorious for getting clients banned.
