I suggest hostmonster sister company of bluehost.

 

my experience: godaddy seemed pricey, but worked okay for me, virtualave had at least one downtime incident, I believe, but wasn't too bad

 

I agree check out hostgator, hostmonster or bluehost.

 

I've used godaddy for years, and has been great. Use retailmenot.com to get promo codes.

 

hostgator is a great provider.

I've had them for years and I've never had any complains with the service, great customer service as well, and they even give you a little slack on late payments

 

I did some research on web hosts a few months ago, and the best U.S.-based ones I found were Hostgator and Dreamhost.
