    Hi all,
I've created same thread on DP today, but i'd like to get more replies.
So, i'm starting my thread hope and think here's the best spot for that.

I have 6 unique articles, 500-800 words each. Should i build a site or a blog? I'll be able to write more articles on my topic, say, 1-2 ones a month. Also i'm going to start earning on that site or blog with affiliate marketing. My site or blog won't almost have images, just a few banners.

I would say that writing 2 articles a month wouldnt be enough for a blog so unless you have another way to get articles stick with a site.

I don't think it matters anymore. The line between websites and blogs is blurred in my opinion as blogs seem to give more personal opinion and talk about themselves some. I think a website is less personal but many websites now allow comments on their articles etc which used to be reserved for blogs. I think it is best to just go with a website because they have more potential in the long run.

I think websites look more professional and upscale, everyone and their dog has a blog.

I agree if you are planning to only do 2 articles a month, then I would go with a website instead. A blog needs to be refreshed with new articles at the very least every 3 days.

In my opinion a blog is better because google likes permanent changes on a website insteed same content everyday. This is the reason how many news websites and the goods niched blogs has very good PR.

Why not have a website that incorporates a blog? Obviously it depends on what your site/blog is about.

As earlier said, why not have both. I run website that has articles and a blog that has sort of mini articles.

What I class as an article is something a page+ of information. A blog then being anything under a page worth of information. I add articles and blog posts regularly and my articles get much more search engine love and much more hits but my blog in turn has had its fair share.

If you only want to choose one, definatly go with the site. But, I'd recommend doing them both.

Blog. No question about it. From an SEO perspective blogs eclipse standard websites, no matter how cliched their appearence is, their built-in SEO is excellent. I try writing 50-60 articles a month and this still does not send more than 500 visits a day to my site. So 2 wouldn't be enough. I wish it were.

Blogs are great because you can add in a lot of plugins (wordpress) very easily. So, thinking ahead, if your site really takes off you'll probably want to grow the amount of content & features you offer. I've had both blogs & websites and blogs are probably easier to grow in a quick way.
