Valentines day has always been a special time for my wife and i , we met online, she lived in Florida, and i in Virginia. We Finlay got up the nerve to physically meet each other on a couple days before Valentines Day. We had only trade pictures before hand. Well She flew down, ran off the plane and into my arms. I dont want to get too mushy, ill just say we hit it off great, a couple days later on valentines day, everything was going great, We went to a nice restaurant for dinner had lobster and steak, than afterward i had planed a surprise. I had reserved a room at the Hilton, while she was napping earlier in the day, i went to the room with 4 dozen roses, 2 lbs of rose petals, balloons, giant teddy bear, and chocolate covered strawberries and champagne. I sprinkled the petals all over the floor and bed, i displayed the roses on the bed, with the strawberries and teddy bear. When we first arrived at the hotel, she was already in awe, as i opened our room door, i made her close her eyes. When she opened the she first saw the roses on the bed, than she glanced down and saw the petals covering the floor. As she smiled ear to ear, tears fell from her eyes. We have now been married for almost 2 years. So valentines day has always been special to us, this is our 3rd coming up. Last year, i had another great surprise. I told her to get in the car, she had no idea where we were going. We live in South West Florida, right next to the Gulf. I headed toward the Marco Island, all the way there she was guessing where i was taking her, each time being wrong. As we turned onto the rd to isles of Capri, you could see the confusion in her eyes. Next i pull into our destination, and She screams with Joy. "Your taking me Kayaking!!" So thats what we did, we Kayaked out to the Gulf, and as the Sun set i presented her with A box that contained 1 karat of diamond earrings, as we Kayaked back Dolphins swam around us, randomly jumping out of the water, not even 5 feet away. Later on she talked me into getting her a matching diamond pendant necklace. I have set the standards of her expectation pretty high, far to early in our relationship, i have no idea what I'm going to do this year. I'm sure i will come up with something great, the last two years were last minute as well. Hope everyone has enjoyed my mushy love story.
