What will you do on Friendship Day?

Hi DP Members.
Friendship day is on August 2. This day is for friends to meet and spend some time, as afterall friendship is the only relation we made by our own. We make our own friends.
So how are you going to celebrate this day??

Nothing much to do, maybe call my friends out and have a drink

 

I'll meet my girl friend and take her in a nice hotel.

I give get to gether party to my friends.

 

I meet all my friends and together we enjoy the party planned by one of my friend. I give gifts to all my friends.

 

I guess friendship day is celebrated only in India

friendship day.... "friendship day for those who didn't waste enough money on valentine's day" is there even a point in it? if my mate came up to me and said hey... here is a gift for been my friend. I would more then likley punch him and think he was trying to hit on me.

 

if I had any friends I would have thought to spend some time with them ...I guess.

 

I call my friends, or either talk to them online, other than that, nothing else.

I really doubt this is global, because this is first time I noticed this.

Oh my god what you are saying!! I wont believe you words!! Ok let me explain what the day exactly mean.

Friendship Day celebrations take place on the first Sunday of August every year. The tradition of dedicating a day in honor of friends began in US in 1935. On this day people spend time with their friends and express love for them.

I didn't even know it was friendship day until some members in DP messaged and requested to be friends, lol.. I am not into such celebrations, as well as birthdays, anniversaries, valentines, new years, etc. Everyday is meaningful. And even more if we celebrate inside, not with the crowds or strangers.
