Oh man if I had a million I would pack a bag and travel round the entire world. Charity? Pfft..charity begins at home!
1 million bucks would change my life, not because of the money , but im having financeal problems now. In fact, I need only 20k to save my ass
If I won 1 million dollars, I will buy my parents a vacation house in New Zealand. The remaining money will be alloted to a research foundation on cancer.
Pay off my debts (house, car, etc). Then, go visit the Buy Sell or Trade forum here to look for good websites to buy!
If I had a million dollars, the first thing I'd do is buy $500,000 worth of gold and silver and build/buy a thousand websites. I'd buy a modest sized home also. Actually, I'd wait until the US enters a massive recession and then buy a bunch of houses for dirt cheap, since many people will have to foreclose on their homes. Once the US economy hits a massive depression, and gold/ silver shoots up to 2000% per ounce like the experts say it will, I'm going to turn my 500 grand into millions of dollars. Then I will start an entire network of both online and offline businesses, turning my original $1 million into $50 million. From the 50 million I will push towards 100 million, and beyond.
Oh that's a good idea, Cheyne!! I want to hire my own assistant too! He would have to do everything I order him to do. The work uniform would be a red leather thong and black bow tie and he'd have to stand by my bed fanning me with a delicate Japanese fan whilst he holds my glass of pink champagne for me whilst I sip it through a straw with my pink in the air and my $5000,00000 pink diamond ring sparkles in the sunlight.
I'd buy even bigger engines for my boat and a bigger brain so I'd stop posting serious questions in the wrong place!!!! (Then again,,, maybe I'd just quit being serious altogether and get a life)
Heck, if I am that lucky I would invest in a million lottery tickets and hope lightning strikes twice!
I would pay my student debt, pay off my upcoming wedding, Perhaps pay some to the CS department at my university, to expand the program a bit. That should leave me with $700,000 I'd probably invest it, and use the interest, however much that may be, to supplement my income for the next couple of years. Perhaps put it toward retirement already. I figure, I am 20 years old. That will be up to ~3 million if I invest for 30 years at 5%. 4.8 mil if I invest for 40 years... nothing flashy - I like to live within my abilies, and within my paycheque. I don't want a flash car, or anything like that. I just want to be able to provide for my (future) family, and not die completely poor.
I would build a research center to treat kids who have been affected by toxicplasmosis. I wanna cure what has made my nephew into a mild autistic / 3 hrs of sleep per 3 days type of kid.
I would have a home built that would suit my family size better, and then put the rest on the bank to live off of...
