I believe Yahoo will stay what it is today, however, not be much as a competitor as being a search engine portal for users, but to provide helpful tools like weather, news, and etc.

I think basically everyone uses Google for searching nowadays, anyways. So Yahoo is already more of a portal, with news and email, instead of a search engine. I believe it will remain the same.

I think Yahoo will survive. They might lay some people off to become more profitable but I think they will still be one of the most important companies on the online market. Despite all the fuss and rumors about Yahoo! it is still a profitable company - they are just unable to increase their revenues and profits for the time being.

I think Yahoo will make a positive comeback and compete with Google.

It's very likely they will either be bought out or go bankrupt.

Microsoft is still interested in them. The funny thing is, Y! had a chance to buy Google around around 2001.
