    Hello DP members,

I am a developer & I don't have much knowledge of SEO So I need some help from my SEO friends. Please read the following & try to answer at your best. Any type of help will be appreciated.

I already have a one website running which is fully database driven website. All contact is coming from database such as page name, page titles, page contact, categories & image names etc. Now I want to make a new website by using same database but with different design or simply you can say I want to use same content on different website which will have only different looking. I want to do this because I am thinking that with two different websites I will have more traffic on two different website than one.

    Now My questions are:

    1. What will be effect on the SEO of my current running website when I will make a new website by using same database ??? (I heard that search engines does not index duplicate content)

    2. Will search engines index my new website ??? (Note: All contact will be same on new website)

    3. If your answer is negative for any of the question above then what is the way to do this ??? (I also know many people follow this method to create many websites from one database)

    Thanks in advance,

    Jimmy

I would not recommend you to doing this. Your second website will be considered as duplicated and it won't be indexed. Google does not looking at websites differentiate based on design but content and others on-page factor.

Even if your second website would have been indexed but the duplicate issue will pose negative threat toward your first website as well. Both of them have 100% exact similar content and also have their index in Google. What will happen? The one site will survive with a Trust diluted while another website may be completely deindexed.

Solution? Try to spin content a little and make them not 100% exact similar. It would help.
