What will the average blogger charge for a post and a sidebar link?

My question is, how little money would you accept for writing a review and putting a sponsored link on your sidebar?

Is it safe to assume that most bloggers are willing to fill up their sponsored ad space rather then hold out for something bigger?

Depends, probably $15-$20 + license to software/book/whatever I am reviewing. If the product is interesting or exceptional, I might do it for free or for kickbacks. : )

Depends very much on what the value of the review or link itself is. The higher the PR, the longer the review and the greater the traffic the higher the price gets. I've done things on my PR6, 80,000 visits a month blog for $75. I've done things on a PR5, 200 visits a day blog for $10. I sell yearly blogroll links on my network of 40 PR 3 (and very little traffic) blogs for $18. It's all a bit of a mix and match: what are you looking for most? Traffic? PR?

Some guys want it for PR, some for the traffic. As the others in this thread have already mentioned, it is quite impossible to estimate without having the necessary details :)

Have a look at http://reviewme.com/ you can get bloggers to review your product with prices ranging from $40 up to $500. The price is based mainly on traffic but it may include PR. The blogger generally gets 50% of the fee so if you approached them directly you could potentially get a better deal.

I'll be a little more specific. If you're new to blogging, say only a page rank 3 site, should you be fussy about how little you get? Or should you just take these opportunities any chance you get?

How many blogs less then Page Rank 3 actually make money from links and payed for posts? Then less then $5 for both a post and a monthly link in my sidebar is something I should be excited about??

any blog can essentially make 5$ per paid post... so I would never really accept less than that.

for a link or something, it might be a little different

I usually charge $10 for an article written by me (usually quite lengthy and researched) and $4 - $5 per month for a sidebar link on one of my PR4 blogs with about 50 uniques per day.

Hi JR, I'm actually a reader of your blog. :)

I'll say.. check the Link Sales section. A lot of bloggers selling posts there and you can get a good gauge of how much you should be getting.

Autorave, you caught me. I'm doing research for my next project! I'm trying to tackle the bottom of the blog pyramid and how to monetize it. It's going to make a lot of lower Page Ranked sites good monthly ..... Just wait and see ;)

Anyway, so far you're all telling me that the majority of you already make good money every month?

Let me understand how much you usually pull in on an average month. I know there are many ways to make money, I'm curious to know if you're pulling in enough to be comfortable with it. Or if you'd always except more kinds of work even if it's low paying.
