What will I choose to start?

    Hello guys!

I already own a WP blog with my own domain, and I am planning to create another website for business purposes to gain revenue and sales. I don't have my own product for now. What would be the best?

    1. A microblog like Twitter?
    2. A social bookmark like Digg?
    3. A Q&A site like Yahoo Answers?
    4. A forum like DP?
    5. A social network like Facebook?
    6. A video site like Youtube?
    7. A web directory like DMOZ?
    8. A Web 2.0 like Squidoo?
    9. An online web store like eBay?
    10. A flash games site like Miniclip?

    Or anything else?

I am ready to invest for a domain now, but I'm not yet ready until I find some of the best answers here. Could you help me out? What would be the best platform that has high market value and potential traffic? But I think there's one problem for me, because I'm disabled at Adsense, so revenue is still a question. I tried Adbrite but earnings are very low.

By the way, my favorite niche is NBA, video games and SEO. Just help me out guys. Please I need some answers from everyone and be honest with it.

    Thanks!:D

A social bookmark like Digg with the niche which is not widely covered..may be a social bookmarking site for gamers.

Thanks for your thoughts...but it's too short and with no supporting reason for real. I'm still welcome more answers here!

I would say go for forum at any niche that you have interest in.
About the revenue, there should be no problem not depend on adsense.
There is still lot of option such as selling banner ads.

Thanks for your suggestion mentos. Selling banner ads I think won't make me much money for a month right? Because I want my revenue to be big in the upcoming months when traffic was successful.

I love forums, but it's hard to get more members joining and be active always like DP if you're just starting. And I don't have plan to hire someone to post, but I want natural and unique persons.:(

VBulletin is really expensive for me, as I like it to be the script of my forum, if the decision has been made.

    Still I welcome your suggestions!

Well, it depends on your investment. Every thing which you are planning to do need some investment. Yes you can afford the initial investment but for marketing you need to invest much more than what you have invested for your site.

We'll, one thing for sure my friend from Australia had invested thousands of dollars for one premium site alone, and still he don't make any money even he do SEO on his website. It has been a couple of years already and until now, still nothing for him. I don't want to end up like that if I invest on my own.

    Any other plans or suggestions?

Anyways i think you have good confidence and you can do something unique...keep it up.;)

I would suggest you to create a website or blog on sports game and you just need to do better seo... that's all ...your blog will be successfull soon.

Actually, I'm not new buddy. Been doing this for a year already only on blogging, but still no improvement of my old blog being hosted from Blogger but with it's own domain. Now I have this WP blog in my signature and I'm only using Adbrite, still I don't get any improvements on visitors and revenue. If I use Chitika, I don't see the ads because I'm not from US and when I check on Alexa, most of my traffic came from Asian countries.

I just need a backup that's all, which can really attract visitors.

Oh by the way, I have not included in the list on my thread which are:

    #11: Web hosting like HostGator?
    #12: Affiliate program like Clickbank?
#13: A search engine like Google?

I still welcome all of your thoughts guys! I need it when the New Year kicks off!

It depends on what you are looking to accomplish.

Most of those things you mentioned are things that you may, or may not, see any real revenue from and will take a lot of time to develop. Especially if you do not have the skill set.

Don't feel bad. A lot of people burn their time, money, and errand pursuing those fool's errands.

If you want to do something online and where you are going to actually not only get a ROI of your money, but also your time. You need to look at starting out in adult and with a CLIP STORE.

Not only will you start earning back on your ROI of time and money from the get go. You can easily grow over time as you learn the new skills sets. You also do not have to worry about a lot of the things that come from starting sites like web hosting, scripts, processing, and so on.

Easily the best overall investment online.

Try a forum in a niche that is not too saturated, probably a new niche.
