If Hillary Clinton loses the Democratic nomination do you think she'll go Independent or just drop out? *I hope Obama gets it. The Early Word: Clinton, Obama in Nationwide Tie
It's tough for a candidate to show they have the proper experience without being in politics. I think Hillary Clinton qualifies as a career politician by proxy. Plus she's just plain annoying.
I can't imagine Clinton going independent. I can't see the support for that at all. Someone who is as entrenched as Clinton, I just don't see that as an option. In fact I see an Obama nomination as a 3rd party killer in general. If Clinton is the nominee I think we may see some serious 3rd party runs (from everyone from Ron Paul to Mike Bloomberg and of course ol' Ralph Nader) but if Obama wins, I just don't think anyone will really bother. I don't really see any possibility of a second chance for Hillary if she doesn't get the nomination, unless Obama wins the nomination and then goes on to lose the General, then perhaps Clinton could try again in 2012. I think she'll be too old go for it in 2016. Maybe not.
She wouldn't even be wasting her time if she didn't already know that she's going to get it mate. Simple as that.
Interesting point. If Obama wins the Primary, but loses the Democratic nomination, then we'll know. THAT would really piss me off. I think we would see a lot of people drop from the party or lose "faith" in the political system.
She might be done today, with how even tuesday was she didnt gain any momentum, and Obama has a huge lead in every state before march 3, shes facing the guliani effect basically, her next contests are ohio and texas, even if wins from those two were big enough to equal delegates of all the smaller contests between now and then, Obama owns the news cycle for the next month, same way guliani failed with his florida strat.
