What will happen to us if search engine does not exist these days?

    I've seen many people built up their businesses based on natural search results on major search engines (Google, Yahoo and MSN). I don't want to mention on PPC since there is similar thing as paid for banner advertisement to drive traffics. I was thinking "if there is no search engine this day, how can many peoples have a profitable online business? How can they find ways to drive traffics to their sites?"

    If search engines doesn't exist today. What will happen to us? ;) We may still have to pay for "1 million impressions banner" which brought you "100,000 visitors" and your conversion rate is "0" :p What do you think guys?

    search engine is the most powerful sales tool if you can arrange the keyword nicely.

    I think we would see lots of in-person advertising again! Believe me, marketing a Website would be lots more expensive!

    Without search engines there wouldn't be an operational internet. We would rely on our favourite portal to point us to sponsor sites.
